We are planning a trip to WDW in 9/2011. My parents are coming along with my husband and I for my 3 yr. olds 1st trip. We need seperate sleeping arrangements, but would like to be together as much as possible. Which resort/room type do you suggest?

    Hi Brandy,

You are so lucky to be planning a multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World!  We frequently travel as three generations and find those trips to be the most magical!

We find that the Disney deluxe villas are the perfect place for several generations to stay together at Walt Disney World.  Our favorite is the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This resort is just a four-minute bus ride or a magical boat ride to the Magic Kingdom, a theme park I know your three-year-old will love!  The two-bedroom villas would provide your family with a king size bed in one bedroom and a second bedroom with either two queen beds or a queen size bed and a pull-out couch.  In between these two bedrooms is a full kitchen and living room area.  This arrangement gives everyone a lovely private area to sleep and the common space in between is a great place to enjoy breakfast together or to discuss wonderful memories from your day's adventures in the parks.

The other option, of course, is to get adjoining rooms at any of the other Disney resorts.  Be sure to ask the cast member to note on your reservation that you want rooms that are near each other or adjoining.

Definitely check out the special offers page on Disneyworld.com before you book your room as Disney currently has a great promotion for those looking to travel before October 1st.   You will need to book before March 27th in order to take advantage of this promotion.

Have a wonderful time with your family!
