We are planning a trip to WDW in October and trying to make our parks schedule early. Talking my twin 13DD. Is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party to young for them first off? Is there a firework show that night in the MK? Thanks!

    Amy:

Planning ahead is what we're here for! Thanks for stopping by.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party proves to be fun for all ages, I think you'll find. It is one of my family's Top 5 Disney events, and I don't know a kid--or a kid at heart--that doesn't like to receive free candy. But what makes the party unique are the rare Character meets with villains, the parade that's "to die for," and the Hallowishes Fireworks Show that's over the top with pyrotechnics that seem to envelope the entire park. (To get its full effect, stand at the end of Main Street after you've passed Casey's.) Just thinking of the show has me humming, "This is Halloween...this is Halloween..." as I type this.

Now if your family is into gore and scary décor, the Magic Kingdom probably will not meet that expectation. But for a fun night with the family until late night, you'll leave with a wonderful memory maker.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
