Planning our trip to WDW for Oct 2014 and are trying to choose a resort. We are looking to stay at either CBR, POR, POFQ, CSR or Pop for our 2014 visit. We are not interested in any special themed rooms, what do you recommend?? Our son will be 4.5yrs old.

Hello Rachel, welcome the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel!

October is a great month to visit Walt Disney World and enjoy moderate to low crowd levels and the awesome Mickey´s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

My family mostly stays at Disney Moderate Resorts and we have really enjoyed our stays at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.
Rooms at the Alligator Bayou include an extra pull-down bunk size bed that features Louis the Alligator - my kids love taking turns for this bed.  The Alligator Bayou also features a very nice backwoods landscape that really helps relaxing after long days at the parks.

All moderate resorts have the same space and comforts, except the Caribbean Beach that does not offer queen size beds.  Pools at these resorts feature water slides - when staying at either Port Orleans Resort guests can enjoy pools at both resorts.

Disney Pop Century Resort is a favorite among long time visitors and has great reviews.

From my point of view moderate resorts offer great value and comfort, and I like to recommend Port Orleans Resort over any other.
Disney´s Coronado Spring Resort is a great selection for families that prefer a big resort that incorporates a convention center.

Checking the restaurants and outdoor activities at each resort, might help you make a better decision.

Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear again from you.
