Planning a trip to WDW Oct. 1-9, 2009. Planning to visit MK for 2 days and HS 1 day. Really want to see Fantasmic! during our visit. Do you have any advice on which days of the week we should attend these parks to find lighter crowds & see the show?

Hi Deborah!  I checked the park calendars and see that Fantasmic is scheduled three times during your stay.  It will be on Thursday, October 1, Sunday, October 4, and Wednesday, October 7.  Although I am not convinced some sites claim that Hollywood Studios is busiest on Sundays and Wednesdays which means that your best bet is to see Fantasmic on your first night.  If that is stressful to arrive, check in and attempt to get to a park then I would just choose one of the other two nights to view this great show.  If you do not have a dining package then I suggest you are in the park in line an hour before.

The Magic Kingdom will have Extra Magic Hours on the following dates: 10/1, 10/4, and 10/8.  Those are often very busy days in the park and I would avoid those days. Enjoy the Extra Magic Hours but don't linger all day in the park.
