Planning a trip to WDW Oct 23-29, 2012. How busy is it during that time? I know Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party is going on at that time.

    Hello, Sandra!

A visit to Walt Disney World is always special, but a trip during the fall holidays can be especially festive!

To get a better idea of crowd levels at various times of the year, I always go to touringplans.com, a great unofficial website for predicting crowd levels at WDW. According to that site, 10/23/12 averages 1 on a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the most crowded), 10/24  averages 4 out of 10 and 10/25 averages 1 out of 10. On 10/26, expect an average crowd level of 5 out of 10, with 10/27 averaging 7 out of 10. 10/28 is estimated to be 3 out of 10 and 10/29 averaging 5 out of 10.

Touring Plans also notes which parks may be more crowded on each particular day, and adds details on special events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. As you can see by the numbers above, this is a great time of year to head to WDW; I'm sure you'll be thrilled, too, the first time you see the fall decorations throughout each park as well.
