    We are planning a trip to WDW May 16th-23rd. The 16th and the 23rd will be travel/flight days so we have purchased a 6 day park hopper pass. If we were to attend a character dinner on the evening of May 16th would that use up one day of our hopper pass?

    Attending a character dinner on your first evening would only use up a hopper day if you were to enter one of the theme parks.

    Instead, I would recommend attending a dinner at one of the resorts. We usually go to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, for example.

    Another character dinner that I would suggest is at the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for Cinderella's Happily Ever After dinner.

    Either dinner would make a fun first night outing.
