planning 2nd trip to WDW for 4/2010. Love this panel and just discovered that I can make dining res. 10/27!! Thinking Ohana dinner, kids are picky(chicken strips and fries) will they eat here? plan to stay at Poly and missed this meal last year.thanks!!!

    Aloha Emily!

My family just returned from our most recent Disney trip, which included five nights at the Polynesian Resort.  Your family is in for an amazing adventure!  The resort is truly magnificent, with a stunning, tropical lobby, fabulous dining options, and a super cool volcano-themed pool.  Being able to hop on and off the monorail makes getting to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot a snap.

We included a dinner at Ohana during our stay, and my two, super-picky eaters were in chicken finger heaven!  While children are invited to dine from the same family-style menu that is offered (which includes salad, honey-bread, chicken wings, skewered meats and an unbelievable a la mode bread pudding), there are a number of more "traditional" kids' options, including chicken fingers, peanut butter and jelly and grilled cheese.  Any of these can be served with fries.  During dinner your family will be entertained by a Polynesian singer and a number of silly games that are a riot.  My boys particularly enjoyed "sweeping" coconuts around the restaurant floor in a broom race!

    Have a wonderful evening!
