We are planning a trip to WDW by June 2012 with our kids 2.9 and 4 yrs respectively. Are there any age restrictions on rides for children less than 3 yrs, as my youngest is sure to throw a tantrum if not allowed on a ride in which his elder sister goes?

There are restrictions for the youngest children, Charu.  Or, more accurately, there are height restrictions.  THIS CHART lists the height restrictions for various attractions.  The good news, though, is that if an attraction doesn't have a height restriction, even the youngest guests are welcome to experience it.  I think my son was about eight months old the first time we took him on Pirates of The Caribbean.  Further good news is that Disney has strategically placed playgrounds near some of the attractions with height restrictions.  It's brilliant, don't you think?  You can allow your youngest to go wild on the playground while his sis is kept busy on the attraction with the height restriction.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
