Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Jennifer. I see that you have a trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth coming up. There is no better way to kick off a new year, how exciting!
Jennifer, in addition to your Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets you'll also need to make a
park pass reservation for a specific theme park each day of your trip in January. We don't yet know when the park pass reservation program will be discontinued. Currently, the calendar goes through the first month of 2023 so I think we will be doing this for the foreseeable future.
Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day and I'm happy to know that you've upgraded your tickets to include this feature as well. Park hopping does look a little bit different than it did before. To park hop, you'll need valid Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets with the park hopper option. Then, after those are linked to your MyDisneyExperience account, you'll need to make a park pass reservation for the first theme park you plan on visiting each day of your trip. On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to others later in the day. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening. You will not need to make multiple park pass reservations for one day, in fact, the system will not allow it. Just the initial park each day. After the clock strikes 2:00 p.m. you are free to visit any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks that you would like.
Even though park hopping looks a little bit different, it is still so much fun. I know it seems like a lot of steps right now, but it's really very simple to get the hang of. I hope this helps clear up any confusion you may have had, Jennifer. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun and happy hopping!
