Hi, I am planning a trip to WDW with my girlfriend of 6 years. I am planning on proposing to her at the magic kingdom, but I would like some characters involved. Can this happen at all? How do I start to plan this? Thank you!

Hi MIchael! Planning a proposal while at Walt Disney World is indeed magical. My son proposed while on the Grand One Yacht and it will be a night they will always remember and treasure.

To involve a character for your private need at Disney will require special permission as well as extra money. Characters can run anywhere from $800-$1200 each for a 30 minute time. They cannot have characters be in public areas so you would also need to reserve a place for your private need for the proposal. Together this can be costly but certainly not impossible.

I suggest you contact the Disney Wedding group which also handles engagements and proposals. They can assist you with your plans and let you know the exact costs of something you might be considering. Also be sure and check out Disney Floral and Gifts which has some wonderful in room celebration options for you to consider. They will also work with guests for a personal package.

I know whatever you do it will be a day she will always remember her Prince Charming coming and sweeping her off her feet!
