I am planning a trip to WDW in Fla in April. What dining recommendations do you have for a 9 and 6 year old?

    Hi Lisa,

Your children are at the perfect age to enjoy all the magic of Walt Disney World.  I'm glad to hear that you are looking to include some fun dining experiences during your vacation.

My first suggestion is that you include at least one character dining experience during your stay.  Chef Mickey's is the classic character meal.  If you dine at this restaurant on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort, you and your children will meet with Mickey, Donald, and friends while the iconic monorails glide overhead.  You can't go wrong with the extensive buffet they serve here.

If you're up for a dinner show, consider spending an evening at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue in Pioneer Hall at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  The all-American vittles served here are first rate and the performance is non-stop fun.

If you'd like to try some delicious international cuisine, schedule meals at Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion and at the San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavilion, both in World Showcase in Epcot.  I bet your kids will love the music, show, and opportunity to dance at the Biergarten.  Meanwhile, the ambiance at the San Angel Inn is enchanting.

Let us know if there is a particular cuisine you seek during your vacation.  We'd be happy to make additional suggestions.

Best wishes to you as you plan your Disney adventure,
    Jill

PS.  Once you decide where you wish to dine, call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations.  The most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World fill up fast.
