Michelle from MI Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Planning our trip to WDW in the fall, and I know when we will be going. But I don't know if my niece will be joining us yet.Can I make my reservation now and add/remove her later or should I just wait until I know for sure that she is joining us?

Many Royal Greetings, Michelle! Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m excited that you are taking the first steps to planning your vacation by making reservations! I’ve had my husband’s work plans change so often, I’ve added and subtracted guests to nearly every dining reservation I’ve made!

You can always call (407) 939-1936 to edit a Hotel Reservation. Simply have your confirmation number handy for reference and you can speak with a Cast Member to either add or subtract your niece up until check-in. As for dining reservations, I would go ahead and count her at all table service reservations. It’s easy to modify your reservation on My Disney Experience to be LESS people up until you sit down; it’s not always so easy to add another seat because of table configurations and crowd levels. By the time 60 days ahead of check-in rolls around, you’ll want to firm up your head count so you can make FastPass+ reservations for all your favorite rides and load park tickets into your account.

If I can help you make some magic for your family members on your fall vacation, please let me know. A room surprise from Disney Floral and Gifts or a pre-gathered Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom kit would be pretty snazzy to present. You could even bring everyone to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for some festive fun! I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
