We are planning a trip to wdw in the fall. Our 2 children will be 3.5 and 17 months. Is it worth getting a meal plan? I am worried being so tired in the evening that a sit down dinner will be almost impossible.

    Hey Jennifer!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plans and rarely ever travel without having it!

There are several different options offered, and I would recommend that you take a look at the different plans before making your decision. Allears.net is a great resource for finding the approximate cost of the different dining plans which will help you with budgeting. You could use your table-service meal for breakfast or lunch if you think everyone will be too tired to sit down for dinner. Your children would probably enjoy the character meals and several of these are offered at breakfast and lunch. Another option might be the quick-service dining plan which only offers quick-service meals. Since one of your children is under the age of 3, you'll only purchase the plan for the adults and your 3-year old. Your little one can share from your plate or you can purchase an additional child's meal. I feel like we always save money by using the Disney Dining Plan, and I love knowing that our meals are paid for in advance.

Depending on the dates of your trip, you may qualify for the Free Dining Special Offer. Take a look and see and if so, just call 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639) and a reservation specialist can assist you with modifying your existing reservation.

I hope you make lots of magical memories on your upcoming vacation, and just let us know if you have any other questions.

    Happy planning!
