Planning a trip to WDW for this fall (2016) 2 adults 2 kids. Deciding on which moderate resort to book. Is there a place I can see the bus stops at each park to decide which moderate resort has the bus stop closest to park entrances?

    Hi, Stefanie!

I have been searching for the list of bus stop numbers for you. The best lists I can find are at WDWmagic.com, an independent Disney website.  They have the numbers listed, but I'm not sure it will be a huge help. First of all, bus stop numbers can change. If there is not a lot of guest traffic at a certain time, buses may be combined (mid-day or very late after parks start to close).

Another reason is that just because the stop is "number 1" does  not mean the bus stop is the closest to the park gates.

What I can tell you is that the difference in walking time will be minimal. Choose the resort you want for its amenities and themes, not for the parks' bus stop locations.

Now the bus stop locations within the resort will make a difference. At Port Orleans French Quarter, there is simply one bus stop for the entire resort.  The other Moderate Resorts are larger and more spread out so you will find that the buses loop the entire resort to stop multiple times at each depot. You can certainly request a room "near transportation" to minimize your walk at your resort.

I hope you find a wonderful resort and that your journey to the bus stops is not too long! Good luck.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
