Hi - planning a trip to WDW in early December. Would like to try Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch while we are there and need some advice on how early folks start lining up to get in - last Dec we were there and the lines were very long for lunch. Thanks!

    Hi Dawn!

I've had the wonderful fortune to experience Be Our Guest Restaurant at both lunchtime and dinnertime, so I can honestly say that I know why the lines are so long. This restaurant is absolutely incredible!

You asked a great question about the lines for lunch. This may sound crazy, but I've spoken to guests that have started standing in line in the 10:00 hour (closer to 10:00 than 11:00 believe it or not). In those cases, they said that they ate a really light breakfast so they would be hungry for an early lunch.

So, you might be asking yourself...."Is that restaurant really worth it?"

Let me help you answer that question...."YES!"

Not only is the food amazing, but the Disney Imagineers decided to essentially make this an attraction. You can wander around both inside and outside the restaurant and feel totally immersed in the Beauty and the Beast story. They packed in so many design details that make it totally worth your time to walk around and soak everything in.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

As you wander around the Be Our Guest Restaurant, you may find yourself wondering about the significance of a statue, a fixture, or some other design element that's incorporated into the restaurant. Feel free to ask a cast member to see if they can explain the story that's being told. I've found that the cast members are extremely proud of the design and details that were poured into this restaurant experience, so they love helping guests understand everything that's going on around them.

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek

(P.S. - Try the Potato Leek Soup...it's delicious!)
