Kim Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are planning a trip to WDW. If I have the dining plan with 1 table service credit, 1 quick service and 1 snack can I use one of my table service meal credits for one of the quick service meals if needed. I have seen conflicting answers.

    Hi, Kim!

The official answer is "no."   Meal credits cannot be traded/swapped for other types of meals. That said, have I seen it done?  Yes.  It really depends on the restaurant and the Cast Member.  I really would not count on it, as this would be much more the exception than the rule.

The other issue is the value.  You are paying for a table service meal, that is what you should enjoy!   Book a fun dinner with Mickey or a breakfast with silly Pooh.  We like to book a nice "farewell breakfast" on our last day either at 'Ohana at the Polynesian or Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club.  It is a nice way to use up that last credit and makes saying goodbye to our Disney pals a bit easier.  (Just remember that your Magical Express time to the airport is usually 3 hours prior to your flight.)

Another way to use up an extra table service credit is to book a dinner show like the Hoop Dee Doo Revue or a nice signature meal like Yachtsman Steakhouse.  Both dinner shows and signature dining require 2 table service credits.

I hope this helps as you plan your Disney Dining for your magical vacation.
