    Planning a trip to WDW in December 2012. Any idea when the taping of the Christmas Parade in Magic Kindgdom will take place. I read it was around the Dec 8th in 2011 and we'd like to avoid MK on the day of taping. Love the Mom's Panel. Thank you.

    Hi Annette!  Thank you so much for the compliment!  We love helping people plan their Disney vacations!
    The taping for the Christmas parade generally happens over a series of a couple of weeks with two days in particular being the most intensive.  It looks like that would probably be the weekend of December 1 and 2 this year.  it has not officially been announced by Disney, but that would follow the trend from the past few years of taping schedules.
    The parks the week before and week after that date are generally very pleasant with low crowd levels.  There may be a spike in park attendance on the taping dates, but it will only be at the Magic Kingdom, so you could always visit the other parks on those days.  You can call Disney closer to your travel dates to see when the actual taping dates are.
