We are planning a trip to WDW in December 2014 I have heard crowds are low the first two weeks of December wondering if that is the case. Also what are normal park hours ? do they close early and the Christmas parade what days does that typically run...

    Hi Antoinette!

We always visit Walt Disney World towards the beginning of December for our anniversary and find the crowds very manageable.  It's after the Thanksgiving holiday crowd and before the Christmas crowd arrives.  There definitely is a significant dip in levels in the beginning of December.

The parks are open normal hours during this time.  The only time a park would close early is for a special event like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom.  You can check the park hours on the Walt Disney World website closer to your dates to find the exact times the parks are open.

The Christmas Day Parade usually tapes the first weekend in December, but it won't be announced for sure until a month or two prior to the taping.

    Have a magical day!
