We are planning a trip to WDW for Dec. 16-22, we can plan any earlier because of my husband's deployment. I just realized today that Star Wars 7 will be out on Dec. 18th. Will there possibly be any special events related to the release?

    Hi Monica,

As soon as I spotted the mention of Star Wars Episode VII, I knew I had to answer this question for you! First off, please express to your husband that the Moms Panel appreciates his service. I'm sure a holiday trip to Walt Disney World will be a great way for you all the end the year.

Now, when it comes to festivities for the premiere of Star Wars Episode VII, we of course haven't received any clues to what may be in store for Walt Disney World Guests. With that said, if I could use my Jedi mind tricks on those in charge of special events, I would convince them to plan something pretty epic on December 18th. If any kind of special events are planned, I'm guessing that they would take place in Disney's Hollywood Studios or in or near AMC Dine-In Theaters in Downtown Disney. Again, this is all speculation from a huge Star Wars fan, so we'll see if I'm correct!

If you'd like up-to-date information on what may be in store for December, follow Disney Parks Blog. They always have the best information for special events, surprises, and magical experiences for Guests.

I hope this helps you, Monica. If you have any other questions about your upcoming holiday vacation, please feel free to ask us anytime.

Have a fantastical Disney day, and may The Force be with you!
