    planning a trip to WDW in Dec, is there any disadvantages in going to AK in the winter as far as seeing animals in safari ride, etc. THX

    Hi Michael!

         As far as I'm concerned Animal Kingdom in December is awesome!  With the average temperature in the sixties and very little rain, December is a wonderful time to explore the parks.  I find that I see more animals on safari at this time because they are all out "catching some rays" and trying to warm up!  Animal Kingdom is a HUGE park and in the warmer months, it can become pretty miserable in the hot sun.  The gorgeous weather, coupled with Holiday decorations, make December a perfect time to visit!
