Hello Brandy,
There's something so special about planning your child's first trip to Disney!
First, let's address travel. When my daughter was three, she had a big year. We made two trips: cross country to Hawaii and her first visit to Disney. I was mortified about her first plane rides. We had traveled hours by car before but a plane ride was new territory. But I came armed with movies, snacks, and a new surprise toy for the flight. Each provided enough distraction to make a pleasant trip for everyone on board.
Now, on to what brought you to the Moms Panel in the first place: Disney! It's obvious you see that Disney can be a fantastic place for both adults and children. Looking back, I wonder why we didn't bring my daughter sooner. Your toddler will love attractions like Dumbo, It's A Small World, Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage and Kilimanjaro Safaris. But he'll also enjoy exploring World Showcase with you and dining at the many great restaurants on property. Even if it's not a character meal, the theming at the restaurants alone will keep your little one entertained.
Just be sure to have a stroller, whether you're bringing one from home or
renting one at the parks. There's a lot of walking involved, and your son will likely welcome the break off his feet.
Hope this helps with your decision. Happy trip planning!
