We are planning our trip to WDW with 2 children for either middle of May or first week of June 2010. Our son is a Star Wars maniac...when might the dates for the Star Wars weekends be out? Are we safer to target the first week of June

    Hi Kimberly,

Star Wars Weekends are so much fun - definitely a must see for any Star Wars "maniac"!  Last year the official dates were announce towards the end of January.  That can be a long time to wait if you're anxious to book your vacation now.

Typically, the last 2 weeks in May and the first 2 weeks in June are set aside for this event.  I've been several times during the first week of June, and Star Wars Weekend has always been going on during my visit.  Your choice of the first week in June is definitely the safest bet.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation, and may the Force be with you!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
