    We are planning a trip to WDW this August and plan on staying at the Villas in the Animal Kingdom resort. We will be bringing our 16 yr old and out 19 mth old. Does anyone have advice on which might be more suitable, Kidani or Jambo? Thanks!

    Howdy Leslie!!  This is such a great question!! 

    Both Kidani Village and Jambo house will offer a variety of recreational activities that will be loved by everyone in your family, both will offer oodles of opportunities to spend time watching and learning about the animals that surround the resort and both will make you feel as if you are enjoying your own private African safari.

    Kidani Village is great and has an amazing pool!!  I would suggest that you spend some time enjoying it.  Everyone in your family will enjoy their time there but your 19 month old will LOVE it!!!

    We love Kidani Village but I think your best option might be Jambo House.  There are two primary reasons.  The store and the quick-service dining location, The Mara.

    The store at Jambo House is huge!  You will find virtually anything and everything you might need while on vacation.  From groceries to merchandise, it's one of the nicest stores I have been to in the resorts at Walt Disney World.

    The Mara is the largest quick-service restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge and offers a great assortment of dishes for everyone in your family. 

    We have stayed at Kidani Village many times and love it!!  Magical visits each time.  However, we find ourselves making the short walk to Jambo House almost daily so we can pick something up from the store or pop into The Mara for a meal or snack.  We currently have a 4 and 6 year old and despite our greatest efforts to pack, it seems we always "need" something else.  

    Regardless of whether you select Kidani Village or Jambo house, I know you are going to have a magical time!!!  I hope this information helps you in your planning.  If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your vacation, please let me know.
