Hello. We are planning a trip to WDW on Aug. 8th thru 10th. We have a 14 yr. old. I am having a hard time trying to find fun things to do in only three days without being too stressed. We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. Thank you so much!

    Hi Amy!

With only three days, I recommend just concentrating on three parks.  It's impossible to do everything at Walt Disney World, even if you had 3 months!

With a 14 year old, I recommend visiting the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, especially the studios which has four attractions that most 14 year old children love:  Star Tours, Tower of Terror, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Rock 'n Roller Coaster Staring Aerosmith.  As the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort, the Magic Kingdom should not be missed.  Attractions not to be missed with a child that age include Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.

With your last day, you can visit a water park, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, Epcot, or Disney's Animal Kingdom.  With a 14 year old, I would be tempted to head straight to Blizzard Beach.  However, if that doesn't appeal to you then I recommend going to Epcot.  If you go to Epcot, be sure to experience Soarin' and Test Track early in the morning!  A lot of children have more fun in the Future World potion of Epcot than the World Showcase portion, so keep that in mind if you go!

By the way, the pool at Port Orleans Riverside will appeal to older children more than the pool at French Quarter.  That's mostly because the pool at Riverside has a much longer water slide.  As a guest staying at French Quarter, you are allowed to use the pool at Riverside.  You can walk (a long walk) or take the boat between the two resorts!

Good luck and write back if you have any more questions!
