Hi L
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.
If you purchase a Gift Card at any of our Disney Stores here in Canada, they are redeemable in Canadian Funds only, at Canadian Disney Store locations.
Personally, I'd recommend that you consider waiting until you arrive to save yourself from having to spend extra on shipping to Canada. Give your girls some US cash to save for the trip and tell them you have something
very special they'll get to purchase with it when you arrive. Once you're on site at Walt Disney World, let the girls decide whether they'd like to choose their own Disney Gift Card (they can choose which design they'd like to appear on the front from the varying selections in your Resort Gift Shop or in the Shops in the parks)
or ... exchange their cash for
Disney Dollars!
My kids
LOVE using fun and colourful Disney Dollars while on vacation at Walt Disney World. This actual, official currency can be purchased at your Disney Resort Hotel Front Desk or Concierge Desk, or in the theme parks at Guest Relations. Disney Dollars are available in $1, $5 and $10 denominations, and each different amount has its own Disney Character portrait on the front.
Please write me back any time if I can provide you further information or assistance as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. I love hearing from my fellow Ontarians!
Wishing you a simply Magical day!
Kirsten
