We are planning a trip to WDW in Aug to celebrate my husbands return after a year in Iraq. We have two 6 year olds and a 1 year old. We are staying at Corondo Springs. Any ideas to make this reunion trip extra special.

First of all, thank you to your husband for his service to our country!

I can't imagine how special this trip to WDW will be for your family.

Since you'll be traveling in August, I would highly suggest taking afternoon breaks to avoid the mid-day heat and crowds. Your resort offers a nice pool area for relaxing and everyone will feel refreshed with some free time in the room for a nap or rest.

Consider watching the flag ceremony in the Magic Kingdom. Afterwards, enjoy a fun dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern, followed by a viewing of the Hall of Presidents or a ride on the Liberty Belle riverboat.

Order your hubby a Welcome Home cake by calling the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253. Personalized cakes are reasonably priced and offer a nice way to surprise a loved one at the end of a meal.

Take things slow and just enjoy the time together. Don't try to see and do everything. Enjoy the simple moments by sharing an ice cream while staring at the Castle or take a walk along the promenade at Coronado Springs.

Have you made any dining reservations? You'll need to call 407-WDW-DINE as soon as possible to secure table service reservations. A fun place for Dad and the family would be the 50s Prime Time Cafe in the Hollywood Studios.
