I am planning a trip to WDW around the middle of January. I know that there is a "running marathon" that takes place in January and I was wondering if you knew the dates. Also, how is the weather around this time?

Hi Barbara!  Yes indeed there is the famous Disney Marathon held each January at Walt Disney World.  The Expo's begin on January 6 and the races will be on the 7th, 8th, and the big marathon on the 9th!  You can click HERE to see the exact schedule.

Hmmm, January weather! This is a tough one and if you ask natives from the area they will be glad to tell you about last January when most had to run out and buy legitimate winter clothes!  The average temperatures for this month are highs of 72 and lows around 50.  I prefer to be in the parks when it is cooler but you never know when winter will hit in Florida and when it does it can be COLD!  Come prepared for a change during your stay.
