I am planning our 1st trip to WDW for our 40th anniversary. Plan on staying at POL. When is the best time? we can visit September 15 to October 20th. Staying 6 days. What are the best restaurant? How do you plan the days? We are getting the DDP.

    Hi, Andrea!

Congratulations on 40 happy years with your Prince Charming.  I am so happy to hear you will be celebrating this special occasion at Walt Disney World.

Mid-September is an excellent time to visit.  Kids are back at school so the crowd levels are low.  The temperatures are still warm, so use mid-days to relax at the pool and get out of that Florida heat.  Once you have your days planned, get your reservation booked at the Polynesian with the Disney Dining Plan and I would get 5 days of park tickets.  Plan for 1 day at each theme park and use that 5th day to re-visit a park favorite.

For some wonderful (and fun!) dining, make reservations at Tony's Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, 'Ohana (for dinner) at the Polynesian, and for a fun lunch or dinner, book a meal at the 50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios.  You will also want to pick a favorite country in Epcot and book a dinner there (France, Mexico, Italy, you decide!)  If you want to splurge on a Signature Dining experience (2 table service credits) book a dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.

Once you choose your dates, get back to me with your basic plans and I can work out an itinerary for you to start with.  We can make this special vacation magical for you and your wonderful groom!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
