Hi Moms, planning 1st trip to WDLR 4 mardi gras next yr. I know all things WDW so I was wondering do they have busses like DW. Also the dining plans look diff to me. Can someone explain please. And should I do 2 days @ each park? DD 5 and DS 3 & 1. Tha

    Hi there Magan,

So excited to hear that you'll be visiting DL for the first time next year!  I grew up a WDW girl, myself, but I now call Disneyland my second home!  Mardis Gras is a great time to visit and there's usually a special celebration in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland during this time each year!

Disneyland does not have a bus system like WDW because everything is so close together.  If you are staying at one of the DL hotels, you are literally just a short walk away from everything the resort has to offer.  If you are staying at a nearby Good Neighbor hotel, the Anaheim Resort Transportation shuttles will be on hand to get you over to the parks on a regular schedule.

The Disneyland Dining Plan is totally different from that of Walt Disney World's.  At Disneyland, it is more a method of convenience, rather than one of savings.  It basically allows you to prepay for your meals in advance and meal vouchers in the deposited amount will be issued upon arrival.

I think 2 days at each park sounds like a great plan!  I usually visit for 5 which gives me 4 days to bounce between the two parks plus extra time to explore Downtown Disney and the Disneyland hotels!

    Best Wishes,
