    We are planning a trip to Walt Disney World this summer. We last visited the parks two years ago. Will the Magic Bands we used for our first trip still be in working order for this upcoming trip? We are staying off-site this time. Thank you!

    Hello Stacia from a fellow Hoosier!  It is exciting to know you are planning another magical Disney vacation this summer.

    The Magic Band program is still relatively new.  Disney has said that the bands will stay active for "about" two years but honestly there is no set time line for their ability to work. Personally, I have two year old bands that still prove to be active but I do replace them with newer ones for my more recent reservations. Proceed with the idea that they will be active.  During your visit you might want to check out all the wonderful new bands that you can purchase. These have different themes such as princesses, Star Wars, and many other Disney characters. This might be a great time to select something new as your souvenir and also have a more recent band for future visits.
