We are planning a trip to Walt Disney world next winter. Most likely Dec 1st to 15th. Is this a good time to go? I noticed that one of the water parks is closed this year at that time. Does this normally happen and is it the same on that closes?

    Anu,

Yes, Disney typically closes one of the two water parks at this time of year, due to reduced demand for the water parks because of the weather, as well as to make needed repairs and upkeep.

As for the time of year, the first half of December is a GREAT time of year to visit! The crowds are very light, and the holiday decorations are really a wonderful addition to the parks. Sure, the weather is a bit on the colder side, but with an average daily high of 73 degrees (as per the National Weather Service), and with all the Disney resort pools heated, you might find a day or two to still get to swim.

I am glad to help with any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
