Hello, Iyla. It's so nice that you found us here at planDisney to ask your question!
While a possible
Zootopia-retheme of
It's Tough to Be a Bug! as well as a tropical Americas makeover of DinoLand U.S.A was
announced at Destination D23 this past September, no dates have been announced as to the closing of these attractions or DinoLand U.S.A. I'd recommend following along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements related to these exciting developments.
Now, Iyla, I don't know the inner workings of
Walt Disney Imagineering, but I can tell you that
Test Track is being rethemed and they announced in early April that this attraction will be closing on June 17, 2024. Upon doing some more research, I found out that it was announced in early December of 2022 that Splash Mountain would close on January 23, 2023 to make way for
Tiana's Bayou Adventure in
Magic Kingdom Park. So while there can never be a guarantee, the closer you get to your trip without an announcement of closure, the less likely it will be closed when you are there.
No matter what,
you have so much to look forward to when you visit this summer. On June 10th, 2024, Joy from
Inside Out 2 will start meeting in
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Timon and Rafiki will be meeting in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. And on that very same day, CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and a brand new stage show themed to
Encanto will be debuting in
EPCOT. Plus, there's the new
Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T drone show that will be offered nightly in
Disney Springs. And while we don't yet know the
exact opening date of the Country Bears Musical Jamboree in Magic Kingdom Park, we
do know that it will be opening this summer and we
just got a
sneak peek at the brand new costumes some of our beloved bear friends will be sporting when it does open. Fingers crossed it'll be open when you are there! And to me, the crowning jewel is that
Tiana's Bayou Adventure is opening on June 28, 2024. Just in time for the hot summer weather!
If you have any other questions leading up to your trip,
I'm happy to answer them!
Refrain from hibernating,
Matt
