We are planning a trip to Walt Disney World at the end of Jan-beginning of Feb from PA. Does the Travel Protection Plan cover cancellations/delays due to inclement weather such as snow, ice, etc.?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for your question. Whenever I book a Walt Disney World vacation, I always add the Travel Protection Plan, just in the event something unanticipated or unexpected were to occur. Disney trips can cost a pretty penny, so we always choose to add whatever insurance coverage we can for those "can't predict" scenarios. This is even more important in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania, where winter weather can sometimes be brutal.

The verbiage for each Travel Protection Plan can be different based on state of residence. If you're in the state of Pennsylvania, you'll need to find what coverage is available to you for your state. I do know on my last reservation (from the state of South Carolina), my Travel Protection Plan, under the section "Other Covered Expenses," there was verbiage that stated I was covered for "Inclement Weather that causes complete cessation of services of the Common Carrier on which You or Your Traveling Companion are scheduled to travel."

Again, I would perhaps review the Travel Protection Plan online for your state, or contact Disney Guest Services. They'll be more than happy to help get you the correct answer to your question!

Best of Luck and have a Mickey Magical Day!
