Hi! We are planning a trip to Walt Disney World in December of 2022- what is the best app to download on our phones so we are able to reserve parks/tickets/genie etc? Thanks!

Hey there Lauren and welcome to planDisney!

The most wonderful time of the year is any time you start planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And with yours set in the middle of the holiday season, you're sure to have a holly jolly good time. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be in full swing and more than likely so will the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Now if you want to get your full experience, there's only one app that you need: the My Disney Experience app!

The My Disney Experience app is the major planning tool for anyone going to the Walt Disney World Resort. I would, personally, be lost without mine. I mean literally lost, Lauren, it has an interactive map of the whole property. You'll need to have it downloaded on your mobile device to be able to use Disney Genie+ Service and you can also purchase your Theme Park Tickets. It's also a super easy way to book Advance Dining Reservations and use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. That's right you can order your favorite treats from select locations while standing in line for your favorite attractions.

Pro-tip: If there are multiple My Disney Experience accounts in your travel party, you can all link up via the Family and Friends List. That way you can all make your plans together!

Lauren, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
