Hello! We are planning a trip to Walt Disney World in April, and wanted to know if there are any Star Wars character dining experiences? Thank you in advance!

    Hi Adina!

I'm so happy to hear that you are getting ready for an incredible Walt Disney World Resort vacation and if you're a Star Wars fan, you will be visiting at the perfect time! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened just a few weeks ago, allowing Guests to travel to a galaxy far, far away and visit Black Spire Outpost. I can't wait to make my first trip to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, get my first taste of blue milk and fly the Millennium Falcon on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Character Dining is a great way to enjoy an incredible meal during your vacation while meeting some of your favorite Disney Characters. Unfortunately, there are currently no traditional Character meals with Star Wars characters. However, I recommend that you plan a visit to Oga's Cantina so you can experience dining in Batuu's cantina, with entertainment by R-3X, who you might recognize as a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot.

If you are interested in traditional Character meals, you have several options for your vacation. One of my family's favorite Character Dining meals is breakfast at 'Ohana. We love to enjoy a tasty family-style breakfast while meeting Stitch and his friends. Another great option is Garden Grill Restaurant, which features amazing food, classic Characters and a rotating view of Living with the Land!

Another great option is a new dining experience is headed to Walt Disney World Resort this winter that is going to be "out of this world"! Space 220 is a new restaurant that is opening this winter in Epcot that will allow you to dine 220 miles above the Earth with beautiful panoramic views of our home planet. This restaurant won't be a Character Dining meal, but it is going to be a truly unique dining experience that you won't be able to have anywhere else on the planet! We don't yet have opening dates for this new restaurant or information on when Guests will able to make reservations to enjoy this experience, so I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for additional announcements.

Let us know if we can help you again as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
