Planning for trip 9/2010. Waiting to see if Disney will offer "free dining" again this year, but ADR (180 days) is 3/20. Do I have to book vacation pkg before ADR's? In the end I want special meals to come off of DDP. Appreciate the insight :

    Hi Keri!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Moms Panel.  You do not have to book a vacation package before making an Advanced Dining Reservation.  You can just use your phone number when making the reservations.

By the way, you can make a "room only" reservation now and then upgrade to a "vacation package" later.  Also, if any applicable discounts, such as free dining, come out between now and when you go, you can call and try to have the discount applied to your reservation; there are usually limited numbers and conditions so not all discount codes will apply.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
