We are planning a trip with two young children (ages 1 & 3) and grandparents. Ideally, I would like a 2 bedroom villa or connecting rooms. There don't seem to be many options. What are your suggestions for places to stay so we're all together?

    Welcome, Phaedra!

I'm so pleased to hear you are planning a multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There's nothing better than kids having the chance to explore the magic of Disney with their parents and grandparents. Forty years later, I still cherish the memories of vacationing with my grandmother at The Most Magical Place on Earth. When my son took his first trip to Walt Disney World Resort a decade ago, my husband and I made sure that his grandparents were along for the adventure.

When we travel with three generations, we book a two bedroom villa so that everyone has their own space and there are plenty of beds and bathrooms. There are actually several hotels on property that offer this type of accommodations, including:

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
    Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas
    Disney's Beach Club Villas
    Disney's Boardwalk Villas
    Disney's Old Key West Resort
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Alternately, you could make a reservation for adjoining rooms at hotels like Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I stayed in rooms arranged in this manner with my nephew when he went on his first Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Just ask your reservation specialist whether the resort you like best has connecting rooms available. Most of them do. You can speak to a friendly Cast Member about making a reservation by calling (407) 560-2428.

Let us know if you need any additional help as you plan your trip. We'd love to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
