Hi, there!
Heather, I am just thrilled to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And with
little ones in tow! You are sure to make many magical memories together.
As a mom of three, one of the things I love most about staying at a
Disney Resort hotel is that I don't have to worry about transportation. We travel from Pennsylvania, and I'm happy to report that we've never lugged car seats with us on our Disney vacations! When we arrive at Orlando International Airport,
Disney's Magical Express is there waiting to whisk us away to our Disney Resort hotel. This family-friendly service does not permit car seats on the motorcoaches. Your kiddos may sit in a seat next to you on the motorcoach, but my little ones have always been happiest to sit on my lap for the ride. (I think it's because it gives them a better view of the television screens!) Once we arrive at our Disney Resort hotel, we rely on
complimentary Disney transportation for the entirety of our stay. Whether your family plans on using the bus system, monorail service, water taxis, or
Disney Skyliner, you can rest assured that your car seats will not be needed as you travel around the Walt Disney World Resort. Isn't that great?
A stroller will be an absolute must-have for your upcoming vacation. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking and little legs tire quickly!
Strollers are available to rent at all four theme parks and Disney Springs, but I prefer to bring our City Mini Double stroller with us when we're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. I love this stroller because the seats recline completely flat and the shades are extra-large, making a comfortable spot for a little one to take midday snooze. I also love that this stroller folds quickly and easily right before we board a Disney bus!
If you choose to bring a stroller from home, just be sure that it's no larger than 31" in width and 52" in length.
Don't forget to review the
Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website before your visit. It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures being taken in
and out of the theme parks!
