Planning a trip with two boys ages 9 and 12 at the end of June and would like to do 3 days at Disney - how best to divide up?

    Hi, Emily!

Your kids are at a great age for a visit to Walt Disney World! No need for strollers and they will be able to stay up to enjoy all the magic of nighttime experiences in the parks such as the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade in the Magic Kingdom and Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT.

With some planning, you will be able to fit a lot into a 3-night stay. I would start with your Disney Resort Hotel. I suggest Disney's Pop Century Resort. It is a Value Resort so it is budget friendly and has the added convenience of the Disney Skyliner. I would add-on 2-day Park Hopper Tickets. Adding on the Park Hopper option will allow you to visit more than 1 park each day.

    Then the fun part....Your itinerary!

Arrival day (Day 1): Take advantage of the Water Park Benefit. Enjoy complimentary Water Park admission (valid on your arrival day only). This will be a fun way to kick-off your vacation and will be perfect for a warm summer day.

Day 2: Start your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Take a mid-day break back at your resort, then enjoy an evening at EPCOT. Your boys will probably enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track.

Day 3: Get an early start with a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Again, a dip in the pool for a quick mid-day refresh at your resort then head to the Magic Kingdom. Nighttime is truly magical complete with the unforgettable Happily Ever After fireworks show!

Day 4: Time to head home...See you real soon!

This, of course, is just a suggestion. If you only want to visit one theme park per day, you can skip the Park Hopper option. Or, if you wish to forego the Water Park Benefit, you might want to use your arrival day for relaxing at the pool or head to Disney Springs for shopping and dining. The options are up to you, so browse through the Walt Disney World website to see what your family will enjoy!

I hope you plan the perfect itinerary for your family. No matter what you decide, you are sure to have 3 fun-filled days with Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals. As you plan, remember that your friends here at planDisney will be happy to help you plan the perfect vacation so don't hesitate to stop back if you have any questions!
