Planning 09/2014 trip, 2nd trip with kids age 13, getting the dining plan. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge last trip (Not Concierge) which we loved but would MAYBE like to try Grand Floridian. So my ? is Wilderness Concierge OR Grand Floridian Garden View?

    Hi Nancy,

It sounds like you have a tough choice to make, both options sound fabulous, very luxurious!  When I decide which Walt Disney World Resort and room category I will visit, I always look at what my family enjoys and needs for that specific vacation. First, think about the added amenities you and your family will have when staying concierge.  One of the biggest indulgence with staying concierge is the lounges that offer continental breakfasts, snacks and beverages throughout the day.  This is fabulous because guests don't have to travel far to find a snack and it is a nice way to relax before heading to the theme parks, or for a mid-day break.  Another service offered is the use of the planning services.  Once you make your reservation, you will be given assistance by a Cast Member to secure Advanced Dining Reservations, special experiences and any other special requests your family may have.  Other services include early check-in and late check-out, you will truly be pampered for your entire stay.

On the other hand, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is beautiful and the service is incredible.  I like that this resort is directly on the Monorail, which will get your family into the Magic Kingdom even faster than if staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This resort is absolutely spectacular, you will enjoy the atmosphere and the pampering you will receive during your stay.

In the end, look at if you will realistically use the amenities offered with the concierge level, enough to justify the cost of this resort room category.  If you aren't sure that you will use all of the services, and are curious about staying at a different Walt Disney World Resort, I would recommend staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Please let me know if you have any other questions Nancy.  I would love to help make your "Disney Time" even more magical.
