In planning my trip I have tried to spread the cost over a few years. I first bought tickets. Now I have paid for the rooms. Is there any way to add a dining plan on now?

Hi, Laurie! You are a wise vacationer spreading out the cost of your trip! As far as adding a dining plan to your existing reservation, it really depends on how you booked and bought your tickets and room reservations.

From what I have experienced, a Disney Dining Plan can be added to an existing reservation up to 3 days in advance of travel as long as the Disney resort was booked as a vacation package and not a room-only reservation. (There are certain exceptions for Annual Passholders and/or Disney Vacation Club members.) If you booked through the WDW Travel Planners (either by phone or online), I would call 407-WDISNEY to talk with the experts about the nuances of your situation. If you booked through a third-party provider such as an online source or travel agency, you will need to consult with the stipulations of that travel agreement.

From what I understand, you will have to cancel and rebook your reservation as a package should you decide to add a DDP. However, the WDW Travel Planners will know all the in's and out's of your specific circumstances. I hope that has helped you!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
