Hello! We are planning a trip thr last week in February 2024 and I'm wondering how busy we can expect the park to be at that time.

    Hiya, Megan!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. The last week of February brings nature lovers, avid runners, and of course, groups of families and friends who want to enjoy everything that The Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer. I am more than happy to share my experiences with you.

First, on February 28, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival begins. This festival is absolutely gorgeous; the topiaries and flora smell heavenly and the food at the Outdoor Kitchens is oh-so delicious. The first week of any EPCOT festival can be a little bit on the busier side, but I’ve visited many in the first couple of weeks and it’s not unbearable by any means. Just a lot of excited Guests who want to try it all—and who can blame us?

The Princess Half Marathon Weekend begins on Thursday, February 22 and ends on Monday, February 26. Runners from all over the world gear up to run magical miles through the iconic Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park and around Disney property. After each race, you may see tons of runners and their families celebrating throughout the theme parks.

In general, February is one of the quieter months at Walt Disney World Resort, so you probably won’t experience summer- or holiday-level crowds. But if you do want to skip the longer queues, I recommend that you download the My Disney Experience App and purchase Disney Genie+ Service (or Individual Lightning Lane access for the more popular attractions) for most of your theme park days.

Megan, if you have any additional questions about your upcoming Disney vacations, feel free to revisit us here at planDisney. Happy planning!

    Magic always,
