We are planning a trip for Thanksgiving 2019. We will have a 4yr old at the time. Are there any areas of the park we should plan to skip with her? Rides we won't be able to go on?

    Hi Candice!

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

First off, it's so great that you're already planning your Walt Disney World vacation. While I don't know all that's planned for when you'll be visiting, I do know that the holiday season is always simply, wonderfully magical! Our own little Mouseketeer was about 4 years old on his second visit to see Mickey, and I still cherish all those memories. I would say that each theme park offers experiences all around the park you'll enjoy together. One suggestion is to start with checking out the attractions online and using the Age Interest and Height filters to get familiar with attractions in each theme park that you think your own Little One will most enjoy. I also suggest you check out the Free Planning Videos. They're a fun way to learn all about the magic that awaits you all around Walt Disney World. I will share that our visits with a 4-year-old featured many fun and memorable moments meeting and hugging favorite Disney friends. I can imagine you'll want to spend lots of time in Magic Kingdom, especially Fantasyland and Storybook Circus. Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios all offer places and spaces just-right for your enjoyment. One note you'll want to keep in mind is that the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is scheduled to open late fall 2019.

Candice, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney world vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
