Planning a trip Thanksgiving 2009. Booked Contemporary Hotel, not sure if this is best choice. Stayed there before, no complaints. Have a 13 year old and 5 year old girl. Just want them to have fun and the lack of the theme makes me 2nd guess. HELP!!

Hi Beatrice!  The Contemporary resort is an excellent choice with great opportunities for that added recreation and enjoyment.  I would not worry about the lack of themeing that you mention as you will find that everywhere you go on property.  I know we like to sometimes get away from the hectic crowds of some of the other resorts and the Contemporary is a great place to enjoy some peaceful moments.  The location is great being a monorail resort as you can get to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT easily as well as the other monorail resorts, Polynesian and Grand Floridian.  You can also get to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness via water taxi.  If you have not taken the time to enjoy the amenities of Fort Wilderness this would be an excellent opportunity to do that during your trip.  You can plan a horseback ride, pony ride, Hoop de Doo, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, or even visit the stables where all the Disney horses live.  I am sure your vacation will be magical!
