Guests do not need to stay at a Disney World hotel to book a fishing excursion. However, you will have to travel to one of the resort hotels to meet up with your guide and board your fishing boat. Fishing excursions are available from Disney resort hotels, including Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Yacht Club Resort, Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Polynesian Village Resort, Old Key West Resort, Contemporary Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.
Reservations are strongly recommended. Guests can book fishing excursions up to 60 days in advance of their preferred date. You will need to call (407)-939-3474 to book your reservation.
Kristina, you mentioned trying to decide between staying on or off property. There are several benefits to staying on the property. Guests of all Disney Resort hotels have access to Early Theme Park Entry, and Guests staying at deluxe resort hotels also have access to Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at select parks on select days. Those are my favorite benefits! Disney World resort hotel Guests can also purchase and make Lightning Lane reservations seven days before their vacation arrival date. Also, Guests staying on property have access to complimentary Disney World Resort Transportation to get them from one magical place to another!
