We are planning a trip for this summer and for the first time we are getting the Dining Plan. We have 3 boys (9,6,&1) They eat what typical boys eat but exotic. What are some places QS, TS or Character Dining that are a must to eat at this visit?

My six-year-old son certainly has his favorite Walt Disney World restaurants, Kelly.  Among his favorites are the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios, where guests eat in parked "cars" in front of a giant movie screen.  Menu items include sandwiches and hamburgers, but his favorite are the milkshakes!  He also loves dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, located within Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  His big appetite is always satisfied by the all-you-care-to-enjoy skillet there, but his taste for fun is met by the hilarious antics that go on around the dining room.  As far as character meals, he really enjoys Garden Grill at Epcot.  Mickey and his friends visit the tables--which is always fun--but the big draw here is that the restaurant literally spins as you dine, slowly rotating to give diners a view inside the Living With the Land boat ride.  You might also consider a trip to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.  My son thoroughly enjoys the show and the food they serve.  When it comes to quick service, one significantly masculine spot that comes to mind is Casey's Corner at Magic Kingdom.   Themed after a ballpark hot dog stand, this place is sure to serve up some home runs with boys of all ages.  I hope that gives you some dining ideas, Kelly.  Enjoy!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
