Welcome to planDisney, Claire.
I’m so glad you stopped by with your question today, because the last thing we want you to feel leading up to your magical Walt Disney World Resort holiday is anything less than pure excitement. Thankfully, I have some good news that should help you breathe a great, big, beautiful sigh of relief.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a service available to Guests who have difficulty tolerating the extended wait times in standby queues due to a disability. To see if you qualify, stop by the
Guest Relations location at the first theme park you plan on visiting. The Cast Members there will ascertain whether you meet the qualifications or not. If you do, they will assist you in setting up your first DAS selections of the day. While you're there, ask the Cast Member if you are able to utilize the Same-Day DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool in the My Disney Experience mobile app for your subsequent DAS selections. If you need assistance with DAS in any way throughout the day, the Cast Members at the
Guest Experience Team locations throughout the parks (marked with blue umbrellas) can help.
If, for some reason you do not qualify for DAS, I suggest you purchase
Disney Genie+ service for each day of your trip so you can reserve Lightning Lane return times for many of the attractions in the parks. This will cut down on your time spent waiting in line significantly and is the best option to consider should all else fail.
I hope this information proves useful, Claire. Please stop by again if we can be of further assistance. Have a magical holiday!
