Planning a trip in 9/13 staying at POR, can you recommend a building close to buses and main building. I have paid for a preferred room will this help me obtain a room close to the above? How do I request a room close to main building and buses? Thank you.

    Hi Lucille,

Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another question.  My family and I have stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside several times and have fallen in love with the charming atmosphere and theming of the resort.

Selecting a preferred room will indeed help you secure a room close to the main buildings and buses.  The preferred rooms are located in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  I would recommend asking for building 14, with my second and third choices being 18 and 15.  Building 14 is closest to the main building.  Building 18 came before 15 only because it is closer to the pool and slightly further away from the parking lot.  In order to request a specific building you need to call a Disney Agent at (407) 939-7675.  They will be more than happy to make a note of your request in your file.  Please remember that although Disney will try to accommodate guest requests, they are not guaranteed.

I hope you have a magical time at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside Lucille.  Please let me know if you think of any other questions while planning, I would be happy to help!
