    Hi! We are planning a trip and will be staying at Hyatt House.I wanted to do Downtown Disney on one of our non park “rest days”. Will we be able to walk through the main esplanade off Harbor to get to downtown Disney or would that require entering the park

    Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question! 

    Guests are able to enter the Downtown Disney District from either the West Entrance near the Disneyland Hotel or the East Entrance off Harbor Blvd. When I visit the Downtown Disney District I tend to enter from the Harbor Blvd Entrance because I am usually staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel on Harbor Blvd. 

    My favorite place to visit in the Downtown Disney District is Salt & Straw! After you’re done shopping, head to this ice cream shop to try a double scoop of Freckled Mint TCHO-colate Chip and Peanut Butter Brittle Carmel Fudge! You won’t be disappointed! For convenience, I always ask for my ice cream in a cup with a sugar cone on top.
