Hi, I am planning my trip, staying at Disneyland Hotel from 28 September for 4 nights, and wanted to see if the extra magic hour to gain early access to the theme parks will be brought back then?

    Hi Amanda!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort hotel question our way. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!

At the current time we have not hEARd any set date about if or when Extra Magic Hours and Magic Mornings will return to Disneyland Resort. These special park pre-opening benefits are extended to Guests of Disneyland Resort Hotels as well as Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels. The best bet to be sure to hEAR about any updates would be to pay attention to the Disney Parks Blog as they're the source of the most magical news straight from Mickey himself. You can even follow them on your various social media channels so you'll never miss a post! Rest assured that if you go ahead and book a room-only reservation or Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, it can always be upgraded to include whatever update or new offer has been released between the time of booking and the time of your arrival. Should those benefits come back before you visit Mickey's house, reach out to the Disneyland Hotel Reservation Cast Members who will see what they can do.

One thing I'll say is I was recently in the parks a few months ago, and even with the addition of the brand new Disney Genie+ ticket add-on option, neither Disneyland Park nor Disney California Adventure Park felt overly crowded for the first few hours of the day. There's a saying that the local Angelinos like to sleep in and arrive after the work hours leaving the morning less busy, and that's going to be my wish for you, Amanda!

I'm so sorry that I couldn't provide a better, more definitive answer, Amanda. But please feel free to ask again closer to your arrival. Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
